The synchronization service of AOL, AOL Sync , is now compatible with the SyncML protocol, and provides a plugin for Outlook.

SyncML compatibility allows you to synchronize all the PIM data (contacts, calendars and tasks) to a compatible mobile phone (in fact most phones) to contacts, schedule and tasks of AOL.

Also AOL has partnered with Funambol and offers a plugin for Outlook, which also allows you to synchronize contacts, calendar and tasks with an AOL account.

AOL mail is already available on IMAP, with the new synchronization capabilities, AOL is the first "big" online service provider to offer free comprehensive synchronization solution that can offer neither Google or Yahoo or MSN / Windows Live.
