First of all Google Maps Callback Service is available in 2 ways: either by WAP / xHTML browser with your mobile, or with the application of the same name to download and install on your mobile.
The latest version of the application is able to geotag you, and this even if your phone is not GPS! However, this possibility is provided by the latest mobile, capable of transmitting to the Google Maps GSM coordinates.
To check if your mobile is compatible with this feature, launch the Google Maps application, go to Menu> Help> About / Info, far below the figure indicated jj: If it says N / A, does your mobile not support My Location, otherwise it's all good!
