Unlimited Web Access on WinXP PC with the key SFR 3G + EeePC
Similarly it is possible to access the Web with a package WAP / web and mobile GPRS/3G (see other tutorials on this site), it is possible to access the web "unlimited" with the key SFR 3G on the Eee PC Windows XP.
Here are the steps:
- Insert the key ![]()
- Windows detects the first device as a USB mass storage
- Then it auto installs the drivers for the integrated 3G modem
- Launch the executable VMCLite.exe (located on the storage device = flash drive)
- In VMCLite, go to Settings> APN
- Select "Settings APN Manual" and in the APN field enter: slsfr
- Confirm by OK
- Click on Connect
When the diode is fixed, it is connected (green for GPRS, blue for 3G/3G).
It is also possible to configure via "manual setting the APN" indicating the following values:
APN: slsfr
Username: guest
Password: (leave blank)
DNS1: 172.20.2.10
DNS2: 172.20.2.39

For it to work, you must first install the drivers for the key: Windows XP they are automatically installed thanks to the USB mass storage function of the key, for Mac you can download here: http://www .huawei.com / mobileweb / en / doc / list.do? type =- 1 & id = 736
Finally, to configure and start the connection you can install the Vodafone Connect Lite, downloadable here: http://www.business.vodafone.com/site/bus/public/enuk/support/10_productsupport/laptop_connectivity/40_software/software/10_latest / p_mac.jsp
For the setup you can resume the indications of this ticket (the parameters are the same for WinXP or MacOS).Please keep us informed about the results!

April 25th, 2008 at 7:19 pmHello Jean-Louis
A priori, there is a problem of software installation VMCLite.exe, once inserted the key into your Windows XP PC, trying to launch VMCLite from the USB key (indeed the key SFR 3G + USB key "peripheral mass storage "and 3G modem at a time).

November 3rd, 2008 at 9:02 pmWell, I tried all means and I can not. I get the following message relentlessly:

So now, I did exactly as stated above a dozen times, and nothing works.
I am running Windows XP, I use a modem Huawei HSDPA USB Modem 220, with an SFR subscription, the € 35 per month, so evening and weekend 500MB and 60MB in day ...
If someone could help me, I'm really tired, I feel there with me that it does not work!
Thank you in advance,

April 2nd, 2009 at 2:57 pmHello
I own a USB 3G + ZTE Bouygues in unlimited manip I tried the tutorial for PC and Web connection gprs with your freedom openvpn and it works, after a few hours of trial and error I finally arrived. I also tried the try before you buy with the enhanced package (850 MB download 5:00), but the supply of test works only 4 hours, and now I leveled with 8 Kb / s up and down.
It's a shame this restriction saw the possibilities offered by flow 3G.
So I'd like to know if there is another solution to have the unlimited net 100% free? If possible concervé the VPN feature to mask traffic.
Or is there any proxy completions of free and compatible with your freedom?Hope you can help me.

Firstly I find it hard to understand why you do not use your USB 3G + Bouygues "normally" (without tutorial), is that your subscription is limited to the Web (HTTP) only? If it is not the case, the tutorial will do nothing more, except to limit the flow!
Or whether there is a solution for the net 100% free, unlimited, no it does not exist, unless you already have a plan WAP / Web (WAP protocols to be limited and HTTP / HTTPS) Unlimited (in time / volume) that the tutorial helps transform into Flatrate "full internet". But it means that your starting package is already unlimited.Eric

April 13th, 2009 at 11:14 pmHello Eric,
To answer your question, my package from bouygues with my USB 3G + is unlimited with regard to the volume of data exchanged, though that in practice greater than 5 GB of data (received or sent) bouygues reduced our speed up the next bill, but this connection is blocking the ports that are not HTTP / HTTPS. So anything that is peer to peer does not pass, even the webcam on msn does not pass while on skype yes.
So I tried your method openvpn / yourfreedom on my computer and it goes, I even took a subscription for 28 euros for three months.
I also found another method virtually identical to the vpn but PUTTY SSH tunnel, again this is not free but may be less expensive than one with yourfreedom, but I have not had time to the test. I will try in three months when my package expires and if my connection allows the ssh too. What is not on!Regards.

I also have the same worries as you. But with the boundary of tele loading imposed on us this key Orange Cameroon is 100MB per month, I wonder if there is a trick or a transaction that allows us to switch to unlimited
